COVID-19 CUSTOMER COMMITMENT

Coronavirus (COVID-19) | CIT Trucks - Customer Commitment | April 10th, 2020


As we continue to monitor the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), CIT Trucks has implemented additional precautions to prevent the spread of this virus, while still providing vital services and support to you, our customers. Our focus is on two fundamental concerns as we work through this difficult time: the safety of our customers, employees and vendors along with continuing to provide vital support to our customers and your efforts to supply our country’s needs.


DEALERSHIPS & EMPLOYEES



  • All CIT Trucks employees have been educated on the symptoms of COVID-19 and instructed not to report to work if they are sick.

  • We have implemented and are following all of the CDC’s recommended guidelines on preventing the spread of COVID-19.

  • Additional barriers have been put in place to ensure a 6 foot distance or solid barrier between employees and customers.

  • Increased, routine cleaning and disinfecting is required for all high-traffic touch points including: door handles and knobs, reception desks, parts counters, service counters, vending machines, telephones, computer equipment and all surfaces in driver lounges.

  • All staff have been instructed to wear disposable gloves, and to change them often between customer interactions.


SERVICE & BODY SHOP



  • All points of contact on a truck will be sanitized using disinfectant including, but not limited to: steering wheel, shift knob, interior and exterior door handles, grab handles, air brake valve, switches, arm rests, seatbelts and keys.

  • Before entering your truck, technicians will change into a new pair of disposable gloves - gloves will be changed for each new job.

  • Alterations to driver lounges have been made to ensure they can remain open, including: hard surface seating, set-up to maintain a 6 foot distance, and limited use of some amenities. If you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask our Service staff.


PARTS



  • Parts department staff are regularly sanitizing touch points on delivery vehicles, fork lifts and points of entry.

  • Parts Counter seating has been removed, along with limited access to showroom seat displays to reduce contact and exposure.

  • We have asked our Parts delivery staff to maintain social distancing requirements with all customer employees. We will be glad to drop your parts in a designated area at your facility at your request to avoid face-to-face interaction.

  • While our dealerships parts departments remain open for walk-in service, curbside parts delivery is also available at our dealerships. Just call in your order or order on-line, and we will send you an e-mail when your order is ready for pick-up.


TRUCK SALES



  • CIT Trucks Sales Representatives are instructed to communicate with customers by telephone and video conferencing whenever possible, instead of traveling to face-to-face meetings.

  • Truck Sales customers will be admitted into dealerships by appointment only, in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order.



WE ARE ASKING CUSTOMERS



  • When possible, please utilize telephone and video conferencing, our online parts counter services, and our service call centers to conduct business and reduce face-to-face contact during this outbreak.

  • If you do need to visit one of our dealerships, please wash or sanitize your hands and maintain social distancing guidelines. For the safety of our employees and customers, please DO NOT ENTER our facilities if you have symptoms of Illness.



We are open for business and committed to ensuring minimal disruptions to your business during this outbreak. Each CIT Trucks location will operate in a manner that provides our employees a safe work environment while continuing to provide top quality service to you, our customers.
